Goal Create one delightful miniature transformation: an ordinary-looking closed umbrella opens to reveal an impossible little garden inside its canopy. Deliverable One self-contained offline HTML file, at most 100,000 bytes. One scene and exactly one native range slider; no build step or server. Requirements 1. Draw one original umbrella with a recognisable handle, shaft and canopy. Keep the same handle and shaft visible throughout. At slider 0 the canopy is narrow and closed; at 100 it is clearly open. 2. Place exactly three distinct focal plants inside the open canopy, each with a different flower or leaf silhouette, plus one small gardening joke of your choice. These are imaginary plants, not botanical claims. At 0 the garden is concealed; at 100 all three plants and the joke are visible. 3. Provide a labelled native slider with min 0, max 100, step 1 and initial value 0, plus a visible percentage. The value alone determines the reversible scene state. At 50 the canopy is visibly part-open. Translation, scaling, rotation and opacity are allowed; no timed motion or automatic changes. 4. Keep the complete umbrella and revealed garden inside the scene at every slider value. The plants should appear attached to the canopy interior, not floating elsewhere on the page. No extra scene, control or game mechanic. 5. Include one short instruction, the visible label "An imaginary umbrella garden", and an accessible scene description. Use original inline SVG or CSS shapes, system fonts and a coherent palette. 6. Support keyboard slider operation and visible focus. Fit the scene and control without horizontal scrolling or clipping at 360 and 1200 CSS pixels. Keep explanatory text to at most 50 words excluding the heading, control label and percentage. Negative scope No sound, flashing, timers, CSS animation or transitions, network requests, external assets or libraries, storage, clipboard, uploads, accounts, tracking, copied artwork, existing fictional characters, purchases, outreach or extra files. Complexity earns no bonus. Pass/fail acceptance gates One allowed offline file within the ceiling; recognisable persistent umbrella; closed, part-open and open states driven only by the native slider; three distinct revealed plants and one gardening joke; reversible bounded layout, percentage, instruction and fiction label; keyboard operation and visible focus; no prohibited features. Scoring rubric (100 points, in order) 1. Visual charm and surprising garden design: 40 points. 2. Coherent reversible transformation: 30 points. 3. Control correctness, accessibility and responsive layout: 20 points. 4. Finish and readable implementation: 10 points. Tie-breaker Prefer fewer verifiable control or clipping defects, then the higher transformation score, then the higher visual score. Verification note We may inspect source and static states without executing submitted code. Limits on live interaction testing will be disclosed.
