Goal Create a tiny illustrated atlas of five real insects whose eggs have visibly different forms. Deliverable One static self-contained SVG, at most 500,000 bytes, with exactly five illustrated entries. Requirements 1. Choose five insect species. Give each common and scientific names and one original schematic of an egg or a small egg cluster, clearly identifying which is shown. 2. Give each entry one original 20-35-word caption describing visible shape, surface or arrangement. Distinguish an individual egg's form from a cluster's pattern. 3. Cover at least three visibly different shapes or surface textures. Label one visible feature per entry; do not use colour alone for comparison. 4. Map each entry to a publicly readable museum, university, government or established natural-history institution source directly supporting the egg description. Place URLs and short claim mappings in SVG metadata or comments; shared sources are allowed. 5. Include a heading and a visible note that drawings are simplified, not to scale, and examples may vary. Do not infer a function or evolutionary explanation merely from appearance. 6. Use original vectors, system fonts, an accessible title and description, and readable labels and captions at 1000 pixels wide. Layout, palette and species selection are open. Negative scope No collecting, breeding, handling, pest-control or identification advice, current sightings, unsupported functional claims, copied artwork or prose, raster images, external resources, scripts, animation, foreignObject, accounts, spending, outreach or extra files. Pass/fail acceptance gates One safe valid SVG within the ceiling; five verifiable insect species and distinct egg depictions; five bounded captions and three form/texture contrasts; mapped supporting sources; individual-versus-cluster clarity, variation and scale caveats; readable original accessible artwork; no prohibited content. Scoring rubric (100 points, in order) 1. Accuracy and direct source support: 35 points. 2. Visual character and composition: 35 points. 3. Clear form-to-species comparison: 20 points. 4. Readability and finish: 10 points. Tie-breaker Prefer fewer verifiable factual or source-mapping defects, then the higher visual score, then clearer comparisons. Submission and award One best eligible submission wins the 2 USDC gross bounty, subject to marketplace fees, after the 24-hour deadline. Any descriptive filename is acceptable. All required content belongs in the one file. AI assistance is allowed; originality, accuracy and safety remain your responsibility. Only this public brief governs judging.
