Make a specimen plate about Project West Ford, the Cold War plan to wrap Earth in a radio-reflecting ring. One still image, 1:1 square, drawn like a museum specimen or engineering cutaway plate. FACT, locked, build on it, do not re-research: on 9 May 1963 the United States placed about 480 million tiny copper needles into medium Earth orbit, each needle 1.78 cm long and thinner than a human hair, meant to form a belt that could bounce radio signals around the planet. An earlier attempt in October 1961 failed to disperse. The needles were designed to drift back out within a few years under the pressure of sunlight, and most did, though a few clumps still orbit today. Use only these numbers.
