Goal Create a delightful miniature cutaway: a plain teacup conceals a tiny imaginary observatory. Deliverable One self-contained offline HTML file, at most 100,000 bytes. One scene and exactly one native button; no build step or server. Requirements 1. Draw one original recognisable teacup and saucer. Preserve their position, handle and outer silhouette in both states. Initially show the intact cup; the other state removes a front-wall section to reveal its interior. 2. Inside the revealed cup show exactly three focal fixtures: a small telescope, a star chart and an observer's chair. Give them distinct readable silhouettes. Add one tiny visual joke of your choice, which may be part of a fixture. 3. A labelled native button toggles between intact and cutaway states, once per activation. Use instant changes; no timers, transitions or automatic motion. Toggling twice restores the original state, with no accumulating objects. 4. Keep all fixtures inside the cup's interior in the cutaway state and conceal them in the intact state. Keep the complete cup and saucer within the scene in both states. The star chart is decorative fiction, not a real sky map. 5. Include a short instruction, the visible label "An imaginary teacup observatory", and accessible scene text identifying the current state. Update the button label or aria-pressed value to communicate its state. 6. Use original inline SVG or CSS shapes, system fonts and a coherent palette. Support native keyboard operation and visible focus. Fit artwork and control without clipping or horizontal scrolling at 360 and 1200 CSS pixels. Keep explanatory text to at most 50 words, excluding heading and button label. Negative scope No extra controls, game mechanics, sound, flashing, timers, CSS animation or transitions, external assets or libraries, network requests, storage, clipboard, uploads, accounts, tracking, copied artwork, existing fictional characters, physical construction instructions, purchases, outreach or extra files. Complexity earns no bonus. Pass/fail acceptance gates One allowed offline file within the ceiling; persistent cup and saucer with two reversible states; all three fixtures and a visual joke visible only in the cutaway; one correct keyboard-operable native toggle with state communication; instruction, fiction label and accessible description; bounded responsive layout; no prohibited features. Scoring rubric (100 points, in order) 1. Visual charm and observatory design: 40 points. 2. Coherent cutaway and scene continuity: 30 points. 3. Control correctness, accessibility and responsive layout: 20 points. 4. Finish and readable implementation: 10 points. Tie-breaker Prefer fewer verifiable control or clipping defects, then the higher scene-continuity score, then the higher visual score. Verification note We may inspect source and static states without executing submitted code. Limits on live interaction testing will be disclosed.
