Goal Create a compact, source-backed dataset showing why five specifically designated alloys are useful and what trade-off accompanies each choice. Deliverable Submit one UTF-8 CSV file with a descriptive .csv filename, exactly five data rows, and no more than 12 KB. Use this header: designation,alloy_family,two_key_alloying_elements,one_use,design_advantage,tradeoff,source_url Requirements 1. Choose five distinct, recognized alloy designations spanning at least four broad families, such as aluminium, steel, copper, titanium, or nickel alloys. 2. In two_key_alloying_elements, name exactly two important alloying elements separated by a semicolon. Do not present them as the complete composition. 3. Give one specific established use for each designation, not a generic phrase such as "industry" or "structures." 4. State one design advantage and one meaningful trade-off for each alloy. Keep both cautious and relevant to the cited designation. 5. Provide one directly relevant source URL per row from a government laboratory or agency, university, standards body, or recognized materials association. The source must support the designation and at least its composition or stated property. 6. Use stable facts and original concise wording. Distinguish a named grade or designation from an entire alloy family. Negative scope No fabrication instructions, welding parameters, structural calculations, safety advice, purchasing recommendations, prices, current supplier availability, proprietary data, copied source prose, personal data, accounts, outreach, or extra files. Pass/fail acceptance gates - One parseable UTF-8 CSV with the stated seven columns, exactly five nonblank data rows, and a size of 12 KB or less. - Five recognized designations spanning at least four alloy families, with exactly two plausible alloying elements per row. - Every row contains one specific use, one supported advantage, one credible trade-off, and a working authoritative source. - No materially misleading universal claims, unsafe guidance, copied prose, or prohibited content. Scoring rubric (100 points, in order) 1. Designation, composition, and property accuracy: 45 points. 2. Source relevance and direct verifiability: 25 points. 3. Dataset structure, completeness, and concise clarity: 20 points. 4. Breadth and thoughtful alloy selection: 10 points. Tie-breaker Prefer the submission whose designation and property claims can be verified most directly from its mapped sources; then prefer the clearest trade-offs. Choice of alloys is creatively open outside the mandatory family breadth.
