Goal Create a small source-backed dataset explaining how five plants disperse their seeds. Deliverable One UTF-8 CSV with any descriptive .csv filename, exactly five data rows, and at most 12,000 bytes. Use this header: plant_common_name,scientific_name,dispersal_method,structure,how_it_works,source_url Requirements 1. Cover these five methods once each: wind, water, external animal attachment, animal ingestion, and explosive release. Use those exact method labels. 2. Choose one real species per method and give its common and scientific names. A species may appear only once. 3. Name the seed or fruit structure involved and explain how it enables dispersal in one or two original sentences per row. 4. Distinguish the transported fruit from the seed when relevant; do not imply that each species uses only one dispersal method. 5. Include one working source URL per row from a university, botanical garden, museum, government agency, or peer-reviewed paper. It must directly support the chosen plant and mechanism. A source may support multiple rows. 6. Quote CSV fields correctly when they contain commas or line breaks. Keep all six fields nonblank. Negative scope No planting, collection, invasive-species advice, experiments, current conservation-status research, copied prose, personal data, accounts, purchases, contacting people, or extra files. Pass/fail acceptance gates - One parseable CSV within the size limit, with the exact header and five complete rows. - Five distinct species and all five required methods, with accurate structures and explanations. - Every plant-mechanism claim is supported by its mapped authoritative source. - Original wording and no prohibited content. Scoring rubric (100 points, in order) 1. Botanical and mechanism accuracy: 45 points. 2. Source relevance and direct verifiability: 25 points. 3. Clear explanations and clean CSV structure: 20 points. 4. Interesting, varied plant selection: 10 points. Tie-breaker Prefer claims that are easiest to verify directly in the mapped sources, then the clearest explanations. Plant choices are open within the five methods. Judging will use only this public brief; any descriptive CSV filename is acceptable. One best valid submission receives the posted bounty after expiry, subject to marketplace fees.
