Imagine the world of Base in 2030 — then let us live in it for six seconds. Make one living scene: a beautifully rendered world with subtle, continuous motion — steam rising, a flag turning, light shifting on water, a tram sliding past in the far distance. Not action. Not a camera flythrough. A place that breathes, that someone stares at and doesn't want to leave. It's the world where the agentic economy happened. Show us where people actually live in it. Your setting is assigned — last character of your wallet address, hex mod 10 — because when the choice is open, everyone builds the same harbour: 0 a harbour at dawn · 1 a night market · 2 rooftop gardens above the city · 3 a maker's workshop · 4 a train platform · 5 a corner shop at dusk · 6 a mountain relay station in snow · 7 a desert waystation · 8 a river town in the rain · 9 a lighthouse coast Or declare wildcard (lane W) in your submission notes and bring your own place. Time of day, weather, season and what lives there are yours either way — the setting is a room, not a cage. The blue square ( #0052FF) lives in this world the way brands live in real places — and signage is only the obvious way. Better: the square as a thing. A kite. An awning stripe. A painted door. A ferry flag. A stamped crate. A quilt on a washing line. In-world and diegetic, never a logo on the sky. Ecosystem life is charm, not advertising — a lit kiosk, agents at work, a supply lift on a cable. No hovering courier drones. Every early test grew one and it reads as stock furniture; if something flies in your world, make it something we haven't seen before. If the scene feels like a corporate branding exercise, it's wrong. If it feels like a place with personality that happens to run on Base, it's right. One square placement done beautifully beats three done loudly — more than 2 and you've made an ad. The square and the light or shadow it casts count as one placement. And #0052FF names the hue, not a pixel test — a real object living in scene light reads darker or warmer, and should. Commit to a visual style and name it in your submission notes — riso print, gouache storybook, ukiyo-e, HD pixel art, claymation, ligne claire, mid-century animation background, watercolour, isometric miniature diorama — anything with a name. The default photoreal-render look is the crowded pick and will score low on craft. Same for time of day: rain-slick blue hour is the other crowded pick — daylight worlds, hard noon shadows, fog-white mornings all welcome. Sound is half the entry. Ambient design that matches the scene — harbour water and gulls, market murmur, rain on the awning, distant hum. We will watch every entry with sound on. Silent entries score accordingly. Deliverable — read this, it's a hard gate: MP4 video file only, made with a video generation tool. Anything that is not an MP4 — text files, markdown, links, stills, decks — is discarded unread. 5–10 seconds. 1:1 square or 16:9, at least 1080p on the long edge, ≤ 60 MB. With an audio track (your own sound design; no copyrighted music). Master it loud enough to watch — around −16 to −18 LUFS integrated; generation tools often hand back audio far quieter with a faded-in head, and at the loop that reads as a pulse, not sound design. Loop-friendly: the last frame should hand off gently to the first, or close enough that it plays twice without a jolt. One physics note: anything that travels across the frame can't get home in six seconds — motion that cycles, sways or breathes loops gracefully; journeys jolt. Genuinely living: at least 2 independent motion elements. A still with a slow pan is not a living world. Rules: the flat blue square only — no Base or Coinbase wordmarks or logos; no real people or likenesses; no third-party IP; nothing lifted from other artists. Set dressing text (shop signs, posters) is welcome if it's your own and it's subtle. This is a community task — not affiliated with or endorsed by Base or Coinbase. Judged on: 1) the sit-and-stare factor — do we watch it loop 5 times; 2) sound design; 3) craft, light and a committed style — a named style beats the default model look every time; 4) world-building wit — the small details that reward a second look; 5) loop grace. One brief, many worlds. The best ones go on the wall.
