Goal Make a delightful miniature city that rises from a flat sheet as the reader moves one slider. Deliverable One self-contained offline HTML file, at most 100,000 bytes. One scene with exactly one native range slider. Requirements 1. Draw one original paper-like base with exactly three focal buildings. Each building must remain recognisable as the same object through the transformation. 2. Use one labelled slider from 0 to 100, initially 0. At 0 buildings lie flat; at 50 they are partially raised; at 100 they stand upright. Intermediate values must deliberately interpolate the fold. 3. Keep each building visibly attached along a fixed fold line on the base. This is an illustrated folding metaphor, not a physically buildable paper-engineering template. 4. Include one small original visual surprise revealed by unfolding, such as a hidden garden or tiny resident. No additional controls or scenes. 5. Show the current slider value, a short instruction and the visible label "An imaginary paper city". Use a coherent limited palette, readable silhouettes and original inline SVG or CSS artwork. 6. Support keyboard operation and visible focus. Fit the scene and control without clipping or horizontal scrolling at 360 and 1200 CSS pixels. No automatic animation; the slider alone controls the pose. Negative scope No physical cutting instructions, sound, flashing, external libraries/fonts/assets, requests, storage, clipboard, uploads, accounts, tracking, copied artwork, existing fictional characters, purchases, outreach or extra files. Complexity earns no bonus. Pass/fail acceptance gates One allowed offline file within the ceiling; three buildings anchored to visible fold lines; one keyboard-operable slider with flat, partly raised and upright states and deliberate intermediate poses; one revealed detail; readable labels and responsive layout; no prohibited features. Geometric fabrication accuracy is not required. Scoring rubric (100 points, in order) 1. Visual charm, composition and revealed surprise: 40 points. 2. Coherent folding transformation: 30 points. 3. Control correctness, accessibility and responsive layout: 20 points. 4. Finish and readable implementation: 10 points. Tie-breaker Prefer fewer verifiable control or clipping defects, then the higher transformation score, then the higher visual score. Verification note We may inspect source and static poses without executing submitted code. Any limits on live interaction testing will be disclosed.
