Australian Venomous Spiders — Two-Player Memory Game

Build one self-contained `index.html` memory game for two people sharing a phone, tablet, or desktop. Use only HTML, CSS, and vanilla JavaScript: no libraries, frameworks, build tools, CDNs, APIs, external assets, or network requests. Inline all CSS/JS and embed all imagery. It must work when opened via `file://`. Game: - Fixed responsive 4×4 board: 8 spider pairs, shuffled each game. - Editable Player 1/2 names; visible scores, active-player cue, and matched-pair progress. - Reveal 2 cards. Match: +1, cards stay open, same player continues. Mismatch: show ~800ms, flip back, switch player. Lock input while resolving. - End after 8 matches; show winner/draw, scores, Play Again, and New Players. - Touch, mouse, and keyboard support; no horizontal scroll from 320px mobile through desktop. Content: - Use 8 distinct, accurately labelled Australian venomous spiders, including funnel-web, redback, mouse, white-tailed, black house, wolf, and Australian tarantula types. - Show common and scientific/group names. Natural-history tone, not horror. - Include a note that medical significance varies and this is not an identification or medical guide. - Images must be embedded and original/generated, public domain, CC0, or attributed CC BY. Include visible in-page credits; no unlicensed imagery. Quality: - Visible focus, keyboard activation, non-colour turn cue, live status, reduced-motion support, readable contrast, and 44px touch targets. - No console errors or runtime network requests. - Verify matching, scoring, extra turns, player switching, input lock, game over, draw/winner, replay reset, and responsive layouts. Deliver exactly one file: `index.html`, under 10 MB. No archive or separate files. Submission must satisfy every requirement above and include only the finished self-contained HTML file.
